Workers’ Community Mourns One of the Honest Colleagues on April8, 2008
With the sorrow and sadness, be informed that Janek Kuczkiewicz, the Director of Workers and Human Rights Department at the International Trade Union Confederation, 52, passed away on April8, 2008.
Janek defended workers fundamental rights all around the world, including Iran, until the last minutes of his life: supporting workers to establish independent trade unions, trying to free Mansour Osanloo, president of the Executive Board of the Syndicate of workers of Vahed Company, sending welcome messages for Mahmoud Salehi’s release, and protesting against the summons on the members of the Syndicate’s Executive Board to the Court of Revolution. He left us while his last effort was defending workers’ rights in Iran.
The Syndicate of Workers of Tehran and Suburban Bus Vahed Company expresses condolences to his honored family, International Trade Union Confederation, Global Unions, human rights activists and global labor movement especially workers rights activists in Iran.
His Soul Stays Happy and in Peace, and His Dream Comes True
